Master Sustainable Business and Innovation: International SDG Research Symposium

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development aims at nothing less than ‘Transforming our World’. But to what extent can this Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their 169 more concrete targets really trigger a transformation towards sustainable development? Join the discussion and follow the plenary sessions of the International SDG Research Symposium on 9-11 June, held fully online and hosted by Utrecht University.

Utrecht University, like many other stakeholders such as governments, businesses, and civil society around the world are using the SDGs to frame their policies and strategies. And yet, still little is known about the transformative potential of the SDGs for sustainability. In hosting this Symposium, Utrecht University brings together a broad group of leading social scientists from universities and prominent think tanks worldwide for a first stocktaking of what we know about the actual impact of ‘governance through goals’.

What’s going to happen?
The symposium consists of four plenary sessions from leading experts accessible to a larger public, as well as three dozen focused academic sessions with presentations of on-going research by scholars from all over the world.

How can I join?
